Without Fear helps people navigate life, loss, and end-of-life with more clarity and less fear. Founded by Alexis Hughes, a life coach, end-of-life doula, speaker, educator, and licensed preplanner, Without Fear offers practical support for individuals and families facing difficult decisions, grief, caregiving, and end-of-life planning. Her work is honest, compassionate, and deeply human because talking about death isn't giving up on life. It's making sure we live, and leave it, on our own terms.

Elder Path helps seniors and their families navigate aging, caregiving, and end-of-life decisions with a little less overwhelm and a lot more clarity. Founded by Natasha, Elder Path brings decades of experience in senior care, Alzheimer’s awareness, caregiver support, and placement to families who need someone knowledgeable in their corner. From finding the right resources to preparing for what comes next, Elder Path offers practical, unbiased guidance centered on one thing: helping families make informed decisions with confidence.

GriefShare groups offer a welcoming place to connect with others who understand what it’s like to lose someone you love. Local groups meet regularly to share support, practical tools, and conversation as you adjust to life after loss. Whether your grief is recent or you’ve been carrying it for years, you’re welcome to find a group that feels right for you.

The Children's Hospital Bereavement Program provides compassionate support and guidance to bereaved parents and family members following the death of a child - as well as resources to help children cope when a loved one or parent is facing serious illness or death. We offer individual and family support from Child Life Specialists, as well as education, community referrals and support groups.

Digital & Online Resources

These resources are virtual in nature, and may be a source of information, education, advocacy, and additional support.

The Home Funeral Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating families and communities about caring for their own after death. They provide practical information, resources, and guidance for people interested in home funerals, family-directed after-death care, and understanding their options. Their work helps families approach death care with greater knowledge, confidence, and personal choice.

The Dougy Center offers a wide range of resources for people of all ages who are grieving before and after a death - specifically young people. Find help you can access anytime at the link to the left.

Many loving pet parents feel alone when their beloved pet dies. Lap of Love is honored to walk with you in your grief journey and invites you to attend our free Pet Loss Support Group. The support group provides a safe, compassionate, and empathetic environment for those who want to listen, share, and celebrate the life of their treasured pet with others who are suffering a similar loss. Sessions are available several times throughout the week virtually via Zoom and are led by Lap of Love’s dedicated Pet Loss Support team. Anyone who has experienced the death of a pet is welcome and is free to attend.

The death of a pet can have a profound effect on individuals, families and other animals. We invite you to review the information on this page and access any of the resources that speak to you.
